Receiving V-EMB

Deliveries of empty V-EMB must be unloaded by the user within two hours of arrival. Any delay in unloading incurs costs for waiting time.

All users must crosscheck incoming deliveries of packaging (empty or filled with goods) against the information stated on the delivery note, which accompanies the delivery. Any deviations should immediately be reported to VGPL.

Terms of delivery

Normal terms of delivery for empty packaging are Delivery at Place (DAP) but other terms may apply for shipments to specific countries.

Deviations

Received empty packaging bundles

If there are deviations on the delivery note compared to what you have unloaded, you need to raise a ticket to Packaging as soon as possible:

  • Incorrect bundle content
  • Incorrect bundle quantity

  • If a Packaging user orders the wrong types and/or amounts of packaging, then a Packaging user is responsible for arranging and paying for their own transport to return the incorrectly ordered packaging back to a Volvo Packaging terminal.
  • If delivery deviation is caused by Volvo error, Volvo will arrange and pay for the pick-up of the wrongly delivered packaging.

Received / sent shipments (filled packaging)

If you receive a shipment with incorrect information or you have created a delivery note with incorrect information, you need to raise the ticket to Packaging as soon as possible:
